2021 Durty Dabber  Great Adventure National Dual Sport and Adventure Ride

The Durty Dabber Motorcycle Club was very disappointed that we had to cancel our 2020 Dual Sport due to the Corona Virus and the state mandates.  We are hoping and very optimistic that we will be able to hold our 30th Anniversary event in June of this year.  As always the dates will be the first full weekend after Memorial Day, June 5th and 6th. I have been talking to DCNR about our paperwork and I’m hoping we can just roll everything over from last year which would be a huge time saver on our end.

There has been quite a bit of interest in adventure riding in the past so we’ve been working on an all new course for the adventure bikes and some new surprises for the dual sport riders as well.

I will update our progress on the website and other publications as it gets closer to the event.  Mark your calendars and hope to see you all in June…Covid willing!

Sincerely,

Nils Mantzoros

Canceling of Durty Dabbers Dual Sport

Dual Sport, Durty Dabbers Comments Off on Canceling of Durty Dabbers Dual Sport

Dear Dual Sport and Adventure bike riders,

In light of the Coronavirus that has been affecting the entire world and is now projected to creep more into the rural areas, I am sad to inform you that the Great Adventure Dual Sport ride and Adventure Bike Ride put on by the Durty Dabbers had to be canceled. We are hoping that the stay at home order will be lifted by the end of the month but we have been advised that social distancing and gatherings of more than 10 people will be enforced into the summer months. With this in mind along the safety of our riders and friends, it led us to the decision to cancel.

This year would have been the 30th anniversary of the Durty Dabbers Dual Sport. We have already begun planning next year’s event, which will be held as usual on the first weekend after Memorial Day, which for next year falls on June 5 and 6th, 2021. We’re hoping to make this a huge event celebrating our 30th event.

I would like to thank all the riders for their support in the past which made this event possible and hope to see all of you at our event in 2021.  An additional note, we would like to encourage each of your to visit Revzilla.  Revzilla was to our main sponsor this year and we are hoping to have them be part of our 30th year celebration.  They will have all your need for the riding season.   See you in 2021.

Moving forward

Dual Sport, Durty Dabbers Comments Off on Moving forward

As of right now we are moving forward with the planning of our Durty Dabbers National Dual Sport & Adventure Ride.  We are communicating with DCNR and all involved parties.  We will provide updates on the progression as we become informed.  We will continue to keep you posted.  What this may mean is that the registration time may be shortened.  So in order to stay informed, please keep checking back and sign up for emails on the right side of the page.  Stay safe and keep riding.  We will do our best to keep this event scheduled.

Be sure to check out Revzilla  for  your gear, tires and most anything needed to attend our dual sport or just ride.  They have stepped up big time for the Durty Dabber National Dual Sport & Adventure Ride.  They plan to be at the event and give away some amazing prizes.  Please support them as they are out there for all of our 2 wheeled friends.  They have an amazing website with an unbelievable inventory.  If you don’t already follow them on social media, you don’t know what you are missing.  Give them a shout out.

AMA Action Alert! – OHM trail access

Durty Dabbers Comments Off on AMA Action Alert! – OHM trail access

Riders,

We need everyone to please take action today to ensure HB 1706 moves forward.  This is the furthest we have ever gotten with a Dirt Bike Registration Bill to allow OHM (Off-high motorcycles) access to DCNR ATV trails. This has the potential to be a huge gain in trail access for dirt bikes in PA.

Rep. Gabler feels that now we have rider support and the Bill has moved to the Tourism and Recreational Development Committee of the House on February 5th. We need to act prior to the House going back into session on March 16th

The AMA has set up a link with a prewritten letter and instructions for us to send to our representatives.

Just follow the link below.  Please pass this along to everyone you know.  We have never been closer to making this happen then now!

See you on the trail,
